The Qualcomm Snapdragon - based mobile devices are slated for a launch in the second quarter of 2009. These HTC mobile phones will be super quick with the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. HTC is currently the only phone to have the Android as its operating system.

Toshiba TG 01, which runs on Windows Mobile, has also made use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. Apparently many other device makers have entered into a contract with Qualcomm for developing mobile computing devices based on Qualcomm solutions as per the reports of Digitimes.

Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Acer, Asustek Computer, Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics, Wistron, Inventec and Foxconn International Holdings (FIH) are the brands involved in the same.
